Anxious attachment can make even good relationships feel exhausting. Therapy helps you understand where it came from — and build something more secure.

Anxious attachment isn't a personality problem. It's a learned response — and it can be unlearned.
Anxious attachment develops when early relationships taught you that connection is unpredictable — that love has to be earned, maintained carefully, or it might disappear.
That lesson shapes how you show up in relationships as an adult: hypervigilant to shifts in mood, quick to self-blame, always working a little too hard to keep the peace.
CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) is particularly effective here. It helps you identify the thought patterns keeping you in this cycle — "if I ask for too much they'll leave," "I'm too needy," "I should just be grateful" — and replace them with something more grounded and secure.

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Corinna was adopted from China at five months old. She grew up knowing her story — her mom was open about it from the very beginning, framing it not as something to explain away, but as part of who she was. And for the most part, that foundation held.
But she still remembers the first time a classmate looked at her and said: "So you weren't wanted?"
That question — and the ones that followed — is something Corinna has sat with for a long time. Not with bitterness, but with real curiosity about what belonging means, where it comes from, and why it can feel so fragile even when you're loved.
Before becoming a therapist, Corinna was a teacher. She watched students struggle with exactly the kinds of things her clients bring to her now: not knowing how to trust people, working hard to keep the peace, feeling paralyzed when it came to their own needs. She wanted to do more than notice those patterns. She wanted to help change them.
Using CBT, Corinna helps clients trace anxious attachment back to where it started — and build something steadier in its place. Her approach is warm, direct, and grounded in her own experience of learning what secure connection actually feels like.
She won't just sit with you in the feeling. She'll help you understand it, question it, and move through it.
