    About Michayla Tabet

Michayla brings a warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth approach to therapy. She believes that people deserve a space where they can talk openly about what they are carrying without feeling judged, rushed, or pressured to have everything figured out. She has experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating trauma, grief, family transitions, emotional distress, burnout, and other difficult life experiences. She also has a particular interest in continuing to develop her work around trauma, anxiety, grief, and addictions. Michayla takes a collaborative and client-centred approach to therapy. Rather than assuming that one approach works for everyone, she works to understand each person's experiences, strengths, goals, and needs, and allows therapy to move at a pace that feels appropriate for them. For clients who would like their Christian faith to be part of therapy, Michayla is comfortable creating space for conversations around faith and spirituality while respecting each client's individual beliefs and values. Above all, Michayla wants therapy to feel like a safe and genuine relationship where clients can better understand what they're experiencing, feel supported through difficult seasons, and begin taking meaningful steps forward.
