About Sarah Sousa
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade as an educator and wellbeing mentor with adolescents and young adults. Throughout that time, I was continually drawn to the emotional worlds people carry beneath the surface — the anxiety, the self-pressure, the loneliness, the quiet longing to feel understood. My approach is warm, relational, and collaborative. I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to slow down, explore our inner experiences with curiosity, and reconnect with parts of ourselves that may have been ignored, overwhelmed, or carrying too much for too long. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as IFS, EFIT, Narrative Therapy, CBT, ACT, DBT, and mindfulness-based practices with a holistic, mind-body (somatic) lens. I'm especially drawn to supporting people navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, identity exploration, life transitions, burnout, and patterns of people-pleasing or self-criticism. I strive to create a calm, grounded space where you feel genuinely seen — not judged, rushed, or expected to have everything figured out.
